If ever there were a time to celebrate and support local independent businesses, it is now.

Here at Riverside we pride ourselves on our hearty home-cooked breakfasts: tasty smoked salmon benedict; vegetarian breakfast complete with bubble and squeak cakes, and American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, a true classic.

To start the day we serve illy coffee and Tea House Emporium tea, as well as a selection of fresh cakes and puddings. Alongside our classic carrot cake, chocolate brownies, apple and almond cake, we are trying out a few gluten-free alternatives that are just as appetising. This week we have a gluten-free chocolate cake and flapjacks.

At lunch we offer an array of sandwiches served on Hobbs House ciabatta, tasty salads, home made beef burgers and lentil burgers that are topped with tangy Riverside tomato chutney. Our menu also boasts haddock from St Mawes in Cornwall, as well as their delicious mussels that we serve in a traditional white wine, cream and garlic broth, that comes with crusty bread or fries.

In our prime location overlooking one of Bath’s most photographed landmarks, Pulteney Weir, we are the perfect place to while away the afternoon or early evening with a bottle of zingy New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Australian Shiraz, Prosecco, Champagne, or a glass of Pimms, local ale or cider.  Box Steam Brewery is a firm favourite, we have Derail Ale – an India Pale Ale ideal for summer – Chuffin’ Ale, Dark and Handsome, and Funnel Blower.

We are open seven days a week and serve breakfast from 9am-11.30am and lunch from 12 o’clock. We are now open until 5pm Sunday to Thursday, and until 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this Bank Holiday weekend.
